I was never really into comic books. If they were around, I read them. If they weren't, no big woop. But I have come to love web comics. Maybe it's the freeness of it all. But a plague has come upon the comics world and that plague is Manga. It's souless with stock characters and pervy undertones (and not the happy, mutual consensual kind of pervy, the creepy molester kind). Besides, one of the great things about comics is checking out their individual artistic expression.

I was in a forum on AfterEllen discussing the various websites specifically geared toward African-American lesbians. An interest was expressed by fellow AE member Lunakiss in sites that discussed books by and about black lesbians. I really didn't know any. So taking Lady Day's words to heart, "God bless the child that's got their own." I took it upon myself to offer my blog as a moderation site for an online book club.
